Vicky McLennan
Chair
Vicky McLennan was appointed as a trustee of Trust Waikato in June 2017, and she is now Chair.
Previously she was Principal at Waikato Diocesan School for Girls. In her nine years of principalship, Vicky was heavily involved in local and regional educational networks and in the wider community, encouraging the school and its students to support local events, community projects and charities. She is passionate about education, the potential of youth and the power of collaborative communities to transform lives.
Having moved to Hamilton from Christchurch to take up the Principal's role in 2008, Vicky has become an enthusiastic advocate for the Waikato region.
“I am excited by its progress, its increasing vibrancy and enhanced sense of community,” says Vicky, “and it is a real privilege to be involved in the ongoing growth and development of the Waikato area”.
Vicky is also a trustee of the Alandale Foundation Trust and a contracted provider for NZ School Trustees Association, providing governance support to school boards.
