This year's APM will also feature guest speakers Kawena Jones and Dr Kirsty Barber, co-directors Taurikura NZ. They are on a mission to educate communities on why local democracy matters, and are working to help increase engagement and diversity at the local elections. Having elected members that represent different voices and perspectives leads to better outcomes for everyone.
