Tribally, Rongo is of Waikato/ Maniapoto descent and draws strength from her whanau, hapu and iwi. Advancing the holistic well being of all whanau, hapu and iwi is her central focus.
Supporting and assisting others keeps her passionate and motivated in the various roles she has undertaken. She has a marae, education, community and health background; including a melting pot of extensive networks.
She loves spending quality time with her whanau in the weekends. And in her spare time enjoys shopping for bargains, eating wonderful food, cleaning & pottering around her home and being with friends.
