Trust Waikato's trustees fulfill a vital role: as well as overseeing the Trust's funds, they decide which applicants will receive donations every year.
Trustees are appointed by the Minister of Finance for an initial four-year term and are often reappointed for a second term. As at 1 June 2010, four new trustees were appointed: Peggy Barriball, John Paenga, Alison Van der Heyden and Maxine Viggers. A fifth appointment, Raewyn Sporle, will take up her role from 25 November 2010.
