Lynnette Flowers

Lynnette Flowers was appointed as a trustee in June 2011.
Lynnette has a Bachelor of Arts and was a secondary school teacher for over 25 years before setting up a business in 2001. Those businesses, located in Auckland, have expanded and they are now run by a manager.
In 2003 Lynnette moved from Napier to Hamilton and quickly became immersed in the Waikato business community. Her passion and skills in business enterprise have seen her serve as director of many organisations including Waikato Chamber of Commerce from 2003 – 2010.
Lynnette is currently director of: Habitat for Humanity Central North Island (since 2004), Big Hearts Charitable Trust (since 2005), Community Living Trust (since 2008), and Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic Netball Franchise and Netball Waikato since 2009. She is also Chair of Netball Waikato Region. Her abiding passion is to help those less fortunate. She has taken 6 Habitat for Humanity teams of volunteers to build houses to help eliminate poverty in third world countries.
More recent appointments include Habitat for Humanity NZ, Radius Davis Corner Ltd, and committee member of the local branch of Institute of Directors.
Lynnette continues to reside in Hamilton with her husband Mark. They have six adult children and one grandson. These children and their families live across New Zealand and Australia.
